Center for Instructional Design and Delivery Opens

School of Education

Marinak

Division of Education Dean Barbara Marinak demonstrates the classroom's technological capabilities.

The Division of Education worked diligently over the summer to turn one of the classrooms in the Knott Academic Center into the Center for Instructional Design and Delivery.

ribboncutting-small.jpgThis classroom, located in AC114, is being used for two major purposes: as a science and mathematics methods classroom for elementary and special education majors and as a Zoom classroom that grants students access to instruction remotely. Since this classroom has running water and storage, it is ideal for science experiments and mathematics instruction. This classroom is also fully equipped with a Panasonic interactive whiteboard, display screen, and a tracking camera, making it well equipped for Zoom classes.

Mount students who are currently attending remote learning opportunities, in places like Philadelphia and Prague, are able to attend their core classes online via this new classroom and its technology. The classroom was completed just in time for the start of the fall semester.
