Mount St. Mary’s University has launched the Live Significantly Podcast, hosted by President Timothy E. Trainor, Ph.D. The podcast provides a new way to engage with alumni, families, benefactors and the campus community.

podcast.jpgFour episodes are currently available, spotlighting Mount alumni and students who are leading lives of significance. The episodes feature interviews of Men’s Rugby Coach Jay Myles, who discusses the expanding premier sport program, and Dean of the School of Natural Science and Mathematics Kraig Sheetz, Ph.D., who provides highlights of student accomplishments in his school. President Trainor also interviews two alumni who serve on the board of trustees, Tamika Tremaglio, C’92, and Rich Miller, C’74. New episodes will release monthly.

“We’re launching this new podcast to provide an inside look at the Mount for our students, alumni, parents and benefactors, and those who want to know a little bit more about our university,” said Vice President for University Advancement Robert J. Brennan.

The podcast medium in 2019 experienced its most significant growth since 2006. More than half of Americans aged 12 and older now listen to podcasts, according to an Edison Research report.

Live Significantly can be found on major podcast players such as Apple, Google Play, Stitcher, iHeartRadio and Spotify as well as the Mount’s podcasting website.
