Hi everyone! My name is Eileen Rosewater, and I am a junior at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This blog is part of a practicum I'm taking this semester and I'm hoping to gain a lot more writing experience and hopefully help at least one person through my work.
Before I go too in depth of what this blog will be about, I think it would be helpful if I shared some things about myself. Some of my hobbies include, volleyball, photography, painting, writing, playing games, working out, volunteering and spending time with friends and family. I am a Communication major and a Creative Writing minor, but despite having a set area of study, I have less than no clue about what I want to do with my life. Maybe through this practicum I'll find that I want to be a blogger. Who knows!!
Just like anyone else, I have had my fair share of struggles in life, but I refuse to let any of them stop me from living my life. I hope I can help other college students struggling with their plans for the future and become a friend to all of you.
This blog will be focused on the topics of mental health and learning disabilities. I have firsthand experience in both of these areas, and I hope that I can pass on some wisdom through this page. I struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD and more.
By sharing my own experiences, I hope I can help at least one person reading this blog and help someone to feel less alone. This is 100% a safe space for myself and for you (my readers). This page will be a judgment free zone and a place that myself and hopefully all of you feel that you can come to when you're struggling and share your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
I hope you find our blog to be helpful and I hope that you and I can both benefit from it this semester. I'm looking forward to writing each week, and I can't wait to share My View of MSMU with you!
