Spring Activities at the Mount

Warmer weather activities at the Mount

The weather is getting warmer, so here are some outdoor activities to pass time at the Mount

As the weather shifts from a cold winter to a warmer spring, it's time to start thinking about some warm-weather activities to pass time here at the Mount. It's the season for spending time outside, so here are some fun things you can do!

1) Go to a baseball or softball game

Despite the Mount women's basketball team's loss in March Madness, sports are not over here at the Mount! Baseball and softball season are hitting their stride. Go catch a game, enjoy the warm weather, and support your fellow Mount students. They'll appreciate it!

2) Do your homework outside

This is a luxury that you only have for a few weeks every school year, so make sure to enjoy it! Take your textbooks, laptop, and notebooks outside to get your work done in the sun. There are chairs and tables set up outside of the Academic Center and McGowan, and benches in Peace Plaza that are great for enjoying the outdoors while also getting your work done.

If you want to add to the fun, bring a few friends and be productive together!

3) Play volleyball

Outside of Sheridan Hall, there is a beach volleyball court ready for the warmer months. Grab a ball and some friends and head over for an afternoon game. It's more than likely that there will be other Mount students there, ready to join!

4) Go for a walk

My last recommended activity is simply going for a walk. Time outdoors is good for you. Not only do you get some vitamin D from the sun, going for a walk also allows for some time and space to clear your mind. Bringing some friends can make it even more fun! There are trails on campus that are perfect for walks and short hikes.
