The last few months of the semester can be hard for many reasons; here are some tips on getting over the hump.
It's now the point in the school year where there are only a few weeks left. This is, for the most part, a good thing. We're only a few weeks away from summer sun and good times.
There's business to take care of first, though.
These last few weeks are critical when it comes to finishing the year on a strong note. For example, some of the things you may be focused on include turning in missing assignments, writing final papers, studying for exams, and much more.
It can feel like a lot, so here are some strategies to get through these last few weeks.
1) Communicate if needed
If you are missing assignments or need help on anything that you are working on, don't hesitate to reach out to your professors. Work with them to make a plan on how to get things done. The faculty at MSMU is helpful and available.
2) Use your resources
Most students don't realize the full extent of the resources at their disposal here at the Mount. Are you writing a paper and need some help formulating ideas or with editing/proofreading? Head on over to the Writing Center. Need a quiet place to study? The library is available.
Using the resources you have can make a lot of tasks feel easier.
3) Plan ahead
The final tip I have is the most simple, and yet one that so many (myself included) fail to do. Make sure that you plan ahead! Whether it's studying for an exam, completing classwork, or working on a long-term project, creating a schedule for yourself is incredibly important when it comes to getting things done on time.
