Week 8 of my senior year was completely dominated by finding a job. The week began with a major interview with Baker Construction in the Georgetown area of Washington, DC. The interview went extremely well, and we quickly scheduled the second interview for Thursday of the same week. Once again, I was very happy with the conversation I had with Baker. The following day, they made me a very generous offer and gave me 7 days to consider the offer. While I was happy to receive the offer, I wanted to reach out to NVR in Rehoboth Beach as I am determined to move out there eventually. NVR immediately set up my final interview and wanted to talk before I accepted Baker’s offer. The interview is set for later this week, and I’m extremely excited to finish the interview as I am highly likely to accept one of these two offers.
While all of this is overly exciting news, preparing for these interviews has caused me to fall a little behind in my studies. After these interviews, I will be refocusing on school and enjoying my time with my friends and family before graduation. I am going to be doing this by focusing on studying a good bit after the interview and then going to my parent's place on the water where a new boat that my brothers and I all just purchased is waiting to be put in the water for the first time.
Check back with me next week to see how my interviews went, and to potentially even celebrate another job offer!
