When I think of spring, I think of the baseball season. When I was younger, I would attend every home opener game of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs with my youth group. While I am not home for the opener, I hope to attend a Philadelphia Phillies MLB game over the summer with my sister and brother-in-law. As I am getting older, I am learning it is not about loving the game as much as the memories that come with it.
Spring is my favorite time of year. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and everyone is happy. Spring brings out the best of people. The weather can determine a person’s attitude. I find my friends and I always want to stay in bed when it is a rainy and cold day, whereas, on a sunny day we want to sit outside as we do homework.

Having days that are sunny and reaching a high of 80 degrees makes lacrosse practices and games more enjoyable. I have also found I enjoy taking pictures more during April when it is a beautiful day. My roommates and I spend every chance we can outside. We put hammocks up between trees, play music and enjoy the day. While the warm weather is not a motivation, it does make homework easier to do, especially when working next to my roommates.
As my last semester begins to wrap up, I am realizing how fortunate I have been to have nine amazing roommates. In fact, two of my roommates will be attending the senior formal. I will be taking one roommate, Julie, and Kelly will be taking Jessalyn. Julie and Jessalyn are both juniors. We are lucky enough to have such good friends that we want to bring to a dance for an enjoyable night out. The fun has been picking out dresses with each other and looking forward to something different.
