Hi everyone and welcome back! Today I will be talking about training over Easter break!
Wednesday was the last day on campus before break so, my roommates and I got up early and ran our seven-mile med-long run. We all went to our classes, and then it was time to go home and see our families for Easter!
While we are a spring sport, we are very lucky and can go home for Easter. Our coaches send us our workout plan, and we stick to that unit we get back. With one or two more races before MAACs, the training is very important to make sure we are staying in shape, and are ready to go by the MAAC Championships!
On Thursday, I had an easy run, some strides after, and a lift. Friday was a workout, warm up, 10x600m, and then my cool-down. I went to the track that I used to train on in high school, which is fun to go back to!
On Saturday, I met up with Bella, one of my teammates, and we had a long run! The long runs are one of my favorites--especially with good company:) When I am home, I typically do my long run in Downtown Annapolis, and it is my favorite place to run! I love to do my long run and then get coffee and go for a walk because Annapolis is so pretty in the spring!
Sunday is usually a day off from running, and my sister and I had plans to go to a hot yoga class!
Monday is another easy run day, followed by a few strides, and lift!
Only a few more weeks until MAAC Championships, and I can't wait!
