The agreement also provides significant tuition reductions for qualifying students.

"This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting the personal and professional development of the people who make our organization and programs successful," said Matt Libber, Executive Director of the Maryland Soccer Foundation. "Education creates opportunities that extend far beyond the playing field, and we are excited to work with Mount St. Mary's University to help our employees, families, and program participants pursue their academic and career goals."

Under the agreement:

  • Employees, dependents, and program participants enrolling in eligible programs through the Mount's Division of Continuing Studies at the Frederick campus will receive a 20 percent tuition reduction.
  • Eligible students under the age of 23 who enroll full-time in the Mount's traditional undergraduate program at the Emmitsburg campus will receive a tuition reduction of at least 60 percent.
  • Participants may pursue qualifying undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, and post-baccalaureate certificate programs taught by Mount St. Mary's University faculty.
  • Applicants must meet the university's standard admissions requirements. Programs offered through the Center for Lifelong Learning and the Physician Assistant Program are not included in the tuition reductions.

"Mount St. Mary's University is excited to partner with the Maryland Soccer Foundation to expand access to high-quality educational opportunities. Together, we are making it easier for students to pursue their academic and professional goals through tuition savings and flexible pathways to success," stated Corinne Farneti, Dean of the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business.

The Maryland Soccer Foundation will share information about the partnership with its employees and program participants, while Mount St. Mary's University will provide information and guidance about available academic programs, admissions requirements, and enrollment opportunities.

The partnership became effective upon its signing on July 7, 2026.
