Mount St. Mary's will retire the number of former men's basketball great Junior Robinson on Dec. 29 before the team's Metro Conference home opener against Marist and induct him into its Athletic Hall of Fame.
The 5-foot-5 Robinson, who wore No. 0, dazzled Mount fans from 2014-2018 with his speed, athleticism and shooting prowess. Even as one of the shortest players in Mount history, he could dunk a basketball.
Robinson is the fifth men’s basketball player in Mount St. Mary’s history to have his number retired, joining Jack Sullivan (No. 32), Fred Carter (33), Chris McGuthrie (50) and John O’Reilly (51).
