It has been a very busy time for both STEM students and the Mount’s Career Center. Over the past several weeks, the Career Center has hosted a variety of events showcasing opportunities for STEM students. These included a STEM Career Fair, an IT Panel, a Health Professions Networking Event, and the School of Natural Science and Mathematics hosted an Alumni Panel featuring recent graduates.
These events offered opportunities for students in the science, technology, psychology, math, or health science majors. Companies from a wide range of different industries came to the Mount to inform students on potential employment opportunities. Reputable companies like AstraZeneca and Sheppard Pratt Health Services, as well as local companies such as Pivot Physical Therapy or the Catoctin Wildlife Reserve and Zoo.
Any student who attended these events had a great opportunity to meet professionals in their intended field. With such an ample amount of companies and different industries, it gave students a great perspective on possibilities that are available with their intended majors. These fairs are a great chance for students to meet potential employers, as well as gain experience as professionals. A special thanks for the Career Center for making this all possible for our students.
